Eye Donation - Last Good Deed

Lucky are we,

            gifted with sight.

To enjoy this world,

            Beautiful and bright.

Of all the five senses,

            All said and done,

There is no doubt,

            Sight is number one.

But then, take out time,

            And think a little bit,

Of the unlucky ones,

            Whose world is unlit.

Think about their agony,

            Think about their plight,

Wouldn’t it be gratifying,

If their life we can make bright.

To us, eyes are no use,

            Once we depart,

Two people can gain sight,

And be thankful from the heart.

Lets make life meaningful,

            Of people in need,

And let eye donation,

            Be our last pious deed.

There should be no doubt,

            No ifs, buts and whys,

For, there can be no better gift,

            Lets all pledge our eyes.
